No surprises on the invoice

Server-side, derived from verified billing state. A plan name submitted by a client is ignored. If billing state and the client disagree, billing state wins.
No. Payment methods are tokenised through a PCI-compliant provider. We never store raw card data. Billing webhooks are authenticated, idempotent and reconciled against invoices, subscription events, refunds and licence grants.
Cancellation and refund terms are published in the subscription and marketplace terms, and set per product by the publisher for marketplace listings. Refunds are recorded as auditable subscription events, not as manual adjustments.
Because it carries responsibilities the other tiers do not: connector authorisation, a configured risk profile, reconciliation and kill-switch readiness. Bundling it into a cheaper tier would encourage users to arm automated trading before configuring the controls around it.
